Akademiks is an urban clothing brand popular among hip hop music artists and it's devotees. The brand was popularized in 2001 when Fabolous included the brand in his rap lyrics. Other celebrities donning Akademiks are Dizzee Rascal and 50 Cent. The name Akademiks is spelled akdmks, or occasionally AKS, on many of the company's garments. Some apparel also bears the Akademiks "A.S.A.P." insignia, standing for "Akdmks Small Arms Patrol". This Riverside long sleeve woven shirt features faux leather shoulder patches with velour trim, studded epaulet straps on shoulders, two front pockets with button closure, and an emblem patch on the right sleeve.
